EATING DISORDERS

People with eating disorders, disordered eating or those who are experiencing the broader trauma of diet culture deserve a team of specialists to help them heal.

For the past 15 years, a large part of my practice has been dedicated to helping people heal their relationships with food and regain a relationship with themselves.

This work starts with building a team of providers (dietitian, doctor and sometimes psychiatrist) to cover all of your bases in the healing process. From there we will work to build understanding and awareness of the day to day inner workings of your relationship with food and body and how that is serving, or not serving you, now. When the time is right we will then turn our focus on healing the reasons that this relationship with food and body began in the first place. If your eating behaviors intersect with a history of trauma we will make ample space to invite healing from both to unfold so that you can live the life you want to without these experiences holding you back.

I regularly work with and refer to dietitians, medical doctors and psychiatrists in the community who also specialize in the treatment of eating disorders and trauma and prioritize communication with them to ensure my clients have a full team approach.
